Match in Photos: Edinson Cavani inspires Paris to a comprehensive win at Bordeaux

Good wins have been hard to come by in the last week for Paris Saint Germain, after they looked flat against Dijon and struggled against Lille, but it was an amazing performance from Les Parisiens in a 3-0 away win against Bordeaux.

A colossal clash with FC Barcelona is very much in the sights of Paris and the preparation couldn’t gave gone much better for Emery. In the end it turned out to be a rout with no injures for the manager to deal with either.

Edinson Cavani opened the scoring with a spectacular volley from outside the area. The technique and the timing was so pleasing to watch and from that moment on PSG were in control.

In the 40th minute Di Maria doubled the lead with a stylish chip to finish off a clinical counter attack. The passing leading up to the goal was so efficient and clinical and Verratti’s through ball was stunning; further emphasising his importance to the team.

Barcelona will certainly have to be wary of the in form Edinson Cavani after El Matador bagged his second goal of the game, and his second volley past a hopeless Carrasso. Cavani’s brace meant he has now scored 25 league goals and 33 goals in 31 matches in all competitions!

Paris Saint Germain are now level on points with Monaco, at least for the time being, but more importantly the team is high in confidence with a deadly striker up front who could really pose threat to an ominous Barcelona on Tuesday.

Final Score: Bordeaux 0-3 PSG

Top Performance: Edinson Cavani – One man understandably stood out above everyone else of Friday night. El Matador has an incredible record in all completion and his two sublime volleys deserve all the praise.
